ST01: Route 11 (South Main Street)

Project Purpose

The focus of this study is to assess historical crashes on Route 11 (South Main Street) and identify safety improvements. Pleasant Valley Road is Potential for Safety Improvement (PSI) Intersection #13, while the segment between Pleasant Valley Road and Southgate Court is PSI Segment #50. Access management is expected to play a key role in solutions. Multimodal accessibility will be evaluated (very high need for bike access, high need for pedestrian safety improvement) and solutions recommended where appropriate. The study team will investigate opportunities for project phasing.
