BR03: Route 19/Alternate Route 58
Project Purpose
The purpose of this study is to analyze the safety issues identified along a section of Route 19/Alternate Route 58 in Washington County attributed to the existing roadway geometric conditions (e.g., non-standard shoulder widths, grade, horizontal alignments, super-elevations, etc.). High vehicle speeds and existing geometric conditions are attributing to a higher number of crashes located along this section of roadway. The objective of this study is to identify cost-effective preferred improvement alternatives that will help reduce the number of crashes and improve safety along the corridor.
