BR02: Route 23

Project Purpose

The purpose of this study will be to analyze the operational and safety issues identified along Route 23 between the Tennessee state line and the Route 58 intersection in Scott County. This corridor has a high number of crashes attributed to poor spacing between the intersections and various site access driveways located along the corridor, which impacts the reliability of the Route 23 corridor. The objective of this study is to identify cost-effective preferred improvement alternatives that address the deficient conditions and minimize right-of-way impacts.
