Termini of U.S. Route 19/U.S. Route 19 Business on each end of town
This study will address roadway and pedestrian safety needs on Route 19 near Exit 2, as well as along Route 19 Business (Main Street) at the intersection of Pioneer Drive. Study elements will include, but will not be limited to intersection geometric improvements, pavement marking improvements, and other traffic improvements. The project recommendations that come from this study will be developed into funding applications for SMART SCALE Round 7.
The Phase 1 survey regarding current transportation needs on Route 19 near Exit 2, as well as along Route 19 Business (Main Street) at the intersection of Pioneer Drive, was completed in June 2025. The study team will use the input obtained from the public to better focus on solutions and develop alternatives to address the identified needs.
